Exchange Destinations
The Alberta/Québec exchanges are for a six-month period, 3 months in each location. Students from Québec arrive in September and stay until December; Alberta students travel to Québec in February and stay until May. Applicants must have completed French 20, or will have completed this level before they leave to live with the host family.
The Alberta/Germany exchanges are for a six-month period, 3 months in each location. Students from Bavaria and Hesse come to Alberta in August and return home in November; Alberta students are in Germany from March to June. Applicants must have completed German 20, or will have completed this level before they leave to live with the host family.
The Alberta/Hokkaido, Japan exchanges are for a four-month period, 2 months in each location. Alberta students fly to Hokkaido in August and remain until October; they then host the Japanese students from November to January. Applicants must have completed Japanese 20 or the equivalent, or will have completed this level before they leave to live with the host family.
The Alberta/Spain exchanges are for a four-month period, 2 months in each location. Students from Spain come to Alberta in August and return home in October; Alberta students are in Spain from March to May.
Applicants must have completed Spanish 20 or the equivalent, or will have completed this level before they leave to live with the host family.
