Green Certificate Program

The Green Certificate Program is a joint program between the department and Alberta Agriculture. This series of agricultural credit courses is based on Agriculture, Food and Rural Development's Green Certificate. It offers 21 courses in seven primary agricultural specializations.

The Programs of Study identify the required expectations for the core and optional learning components for elementary, junior and senior high schools. Content is focused on what students are expected to know and be able to do.

Learning and Teaching Resources
Authorized Resources Database – A searchable database of all authorized resources.

Curriculum Handbooks for Parents and Curriculum Summaries – find a summary of what students are expected to learn and be able to do – designed specifically for parents.
Connection: Information for Teachers – find updates on curriculum, resources and a range of other topics. Published in October, January and May.
Focus on Inquiry, 2004 – find information and supports for implementing inquiry-based learning activities in the classroom. This guide is designed to assist teachers working on their own or in teams, with or without the support of a teacher-librarian or other library personnel. (1.2 mb)
