CTS:  Agriculture

The Agriculture strand provides a comprehensive view of agriculture in Alberta and Canada, encompassing plant and animal production, interior and exterior plantscapes, animal husbandry, the agrifood industry, market research and development, and environmental management. Students develop knowledge and skills relevant to producing agriculture/horticulture products, providing related services, and supporting sustainable development and efficient use of natural resources.

Agriculture is just one of 22 strands* in Career and Technology Studies (CTS). For more information on the full group of CTS strands, visit the CTS Curriculum Structure.

*Each CTS "strand" is comprised of a group of 1-credit courses designed to support positive career opportunities for students.
