The prevention of FASD is everyone's job
Teachers can help students develop skills for healthy decision-making through the learner outcomes in the K-9 Health and Life Skills, and Senior High School Career and Life Management programs.

These sample professional development activities are designed to engage teachers in discussing concepts, exploring the resource Teaching Students with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, and linking new knowledge with current practices.   • FASD is the leading cause of preventable birth defects and developmental delay
  • FASD is a lifelong disability that causes health, learning and behavioural problems
